So, yesterday I was working on my WIP, and I came to a major part of the novel, I'm talking a big chunk of it, and I find myself staring at the screen wondering, "Do I even need this? At all?"
This question was followed by a whole lot of this:
Then a whole lot of this:(except I'm a girl)
I haven't decided if I need it or not, but if you hear crying coming from my house, it will be not. Then it will be followed by a whole lot of this:
Wish me luck.

Cutting out words is the hardest thing. Good luck!
Carolyn, yup. That's why I need axes, not sissors. ;)
Leisha,
Better to cut a chunk, large or not, than have to cuts chunks (with an 'S') or have to virtually redo ALL - something Sandy and myself are currently suffering through. Hang in there babe, and remember - what doesn't kill us to remove only makes us more publishable (I hope).
What size axe fits you? Now I know what to send you for Christmas. ;)
Lol, good luck! Those are some pretty awesome axes to hack with. :)
Clancy, I think this just hit a redo all level. Sigh. Still, more publishable sounds good. Thanks for the encouragement.
Texasblu, Big with a captital B. That's always my size. LOL.
Shallee, they are pretty cool, aren't they? I think it would be more satisfying if I really got to use them and not the delete key. :)
Ha! Oh dear, poor thing :-). I've recently decided that I need another outlet for my knives and axes besides just cutting WIP pieces. Like throwing perhaps...that'd be cool.
Good luck! I'm sure it will turn out fabulous :-)!
M. Christine, knife throwing would be an awesome alternative. Just think, I could make a wall into a target wall and everytime I got frustrated or stuck, WHAM. You are a genius. :)
Oy, the wicked, wicked axe! And do you find yourself hoarding those axed words in another file, just because they're hard work and you can't let go. Many, many words are floating out in the biosphere . . . maybe that's what the asteroid belt is.
Jonene, we should let NASA know. LOL.
