Thanksgiving Lists

Thanksgiving is around the bend, turkey (or tofu) dinners, family, and all the fatness of life. I'm not talking the fatness of your waistband, but the mesh of things that make life sweet. Here is a short list of some things I'm thankful for:

my hubby
my kids
fireplaces
food
words
music
soft blankets and pillows
the words I love you and I'm sorry
my God
friends
stories
learning
pomegranates
frozen pizzas for the days I forget to fix dinner (this happens way too often)
silence
noise
cell phones
trees
sunsets
little toothless smiles
wet baby kisses
my parents and siblings
cars that work
fuzzy slippers
heaters and air conditioning
the sun and its light that chase away the darkness both inside and out
green growing things
and blue sky that reaches into always
promises kept
welcome home hugs
and sleep
even Mondays
you
me
the words us, we, and our

What are you thankful for? Let's add to the list and remember why life is sweet and fat.

I will add: ice cubes, diet coke, family night, children's laughter and giggles, hot showers, family relationships and blogs that are interesting to read and make me smile each... thanks Leisha!

Hubby, kids, friends, color pencils, cameras, people who lie and say you look great, watermelon, hot cocoa, sunsets, fingernail clippers, funny little jokes and sweet comments, and a big someone above who knows what He's doing. Life is good! Thanks for sharing yours!

Love the list! I'm thankful for a fridge that works (But am still waiting for them to deliver the thing). =) Have a great Thanksgiving Leisha! =D

Rebecca, awwwww. Thanks. :)

Jonene, life is good, thanks.

Anita, ditto right back at ya.

Caolyn, I hope they deliver the darn thing soon! I am suddenly much more thankful for my own fridge.

Today at church we sang the little kid song "For health and strength and daily food we praise thy name O Lord," and this year I feel especially grateful for health and strength and good, wholesome food. It's awesome how once you know more about something you feel all the more grateful for it. Thanks for the post!

Nikki, I think you've hit on something. I am more grateful for things I think about and learn about. Maybe that's one of the reasons we should always be learning. Thanks for the intriquing thought. :)

Wet baby kisses...My Kid A took my wife by the face and gave her a full on wet one right on the lips. She tried to give him her cheek, oh no, he grabbed her face turned it and wide open mouth right on the lips.

Matt, wet baby kisses are always memorable. Some more than others. *Grin*
